The Good People Fund

Hip New Jersey’s Lisa Marie Latino sat down with Naomi Eisenberger, Cofounder and Executive Director of the Good People Fund.

This non-profit organization strives to discover and assist virtuous individuals who are seeking to make a difference in the world. Eisenberger explains, “We go out and look for good people. Individuals who have decided there is something wrong with the world and they want to devote themselves to fixing it”. They help provide funds, counseling, mentoring, and the overall fundamentals for running an organization.

The Good People Fund supports charities such as Ample Harvest. Gary Oppenheimer, founder and Executive director, runs this organization that works to eliminate the waste of food. It encourages home gardeners to donate spare food to food pantries. Another charity supported by The Good People Fund is Interfaith Food Pantry. This organization consists of religious institutions in the Essex area who come together to provide food to people in the inner city of Essex County.

Eisenberger describes what makes her so passionate about what does. She states, “ When you sit with these individuals you cannot help but feel passionate about what they are doing. They are so inspiring”. Be sure to visit the Good People Fund’s website: www. Goodpeoplefund.org.
